I’m looking for a >19″ LCD monitor thats less than $ 300. It can be widescreen or not widescreen i like both. Ive been looking at the ASUS and it looks promising so fat but i want your opinions and ideas on whats the best monitor out there.

There is no real difference between monitors for gaming performance.

The most important thing for impressive graphics is your Video Graphics Adapter.
If you have a good Graphics adapter, then you can either get a 19″” or 22″ Monitor from Samsung, LG, Viewsonic or ASUS.
Among these choose the one with good Digital Contrast Ratio. Anything with 5000:1 or above should be good for you.
The additional features you can see for is the type of additional connectors available like the HDMI &Cable connections etc.
